Did high scores actually pay off?

How the score is built

1. Gather data. Prices, fund data, filings, on-chain data and news from licensed providers.
2. Check eligibility. Assets that fail a board’s rules are marked Not rated, with the reason shown.
3. Calculate factors. Each board uses the measures that matter for it, such as fees for funds or adoption for crypto.
4. Rank against peers. Each factor becomes a 0–100 score relative to the rest of its board, so one extreme number can’t dominate.
5. Weight and combine. Factor scores are combined using the board’s published weights.
6. Smooth and flag. Scores move partway toward each new reading. Under 3 years of history is marked provisional and pulled slightly toward neutral.
7. Backtest and version. Any formula change is backtested over 10+ years and released under a new model version.

Score bands

Scores compare assets within a board only, never across boards.
